AI readiness starts with institutional decisions
A practical perspective on leadership, people, data, technology and governance.
Build an institutional enquiryPractice perspective
AI readiness is not simply a technology procurement question. Institutions need clarity on the outcomes they want, the decisions they must support and the capabilities they can responsibly sustain.
Start with a structured review of leadership priorities, workforce capability, data availability, technology constraints and governance responsibilities. Record evidence as well as uncertainty; an assessment is useful when it identifies the next decisions, not when it produces an unsupported score.
Use those findings to prioritise practical learning and candidate use cases. Assign owners, define success measures and establish governance before moving to implementation. Readiness should be revisited as institutional capability develops.
General institutional guidance, not legal advice or a claim of regulatory compliance.
